Dehydration onset temperatures of Zn[B3O3(OH)(5)] center dot H2O and Zn[B3O4(OH)(3)] were 129 and 320 degrees C, respectively, at a 10 degrees C/min ramp rate. A very small amount of boric acid was volatilized in addition to water vapor when both samples were heated at 250 degrees C. A significant amount of water vapor was adsorbed by Zn[B3O3(OH)(5)] center dot H2O from air at 25 degrees C. However, Zn[B3O4(OH)(3)] adsorbed a very small amount of water under the same conditions. Both zinc borates did not have a tendency to cake during storage.</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="650" ind1="1" ind2="7"> <subfield code="2">opendefinition.org</subfield> <subfield code="a">cc-by</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Izmir Inst Technol, Fac Engn, Dept Chem Engn, TR-35430 Izmir, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Gonen, Mehmet</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Izmir Inst Technol, Fac Engn, Dept Chem Engn, TR-35430 Izmir, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Savrik, Sevdiye Atakul</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Izmir Inst Technol, Fac Engn, Dept Chem Engn, TR-35430 Izmir, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Balkose, Devrim</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Izmir Inst Technol, Fac Engn, Dept Chem Engn, TR-35430 Izmir, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Ulku, Semra</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="980" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="b">article</subfield> <subfield code="a">publication</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="542" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="l">open</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="100" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Izmir Inst Technol, Fac Engn, Dept Chem Engn, TR-35430 Izmir, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Alp, Burcu</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="260" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="c">2012-01-01</subfield> </datafield> <controlfield tag="005">20210316062718.0</controlfield> <datafield tag="909" ind1="C" ind2="O"> <subfield code="o">oai:zenodo.org:84349</subfield> <subfield code="p">user-tubitak-destekli-proje-yayinlari</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2=" "> <subfield code="z">md5:5af067641f27d273eb5a545948cba787</subfield> <subfield code="s">215</subfield> <subfield code="u">https://aperta.ulakbim.gov.trrecord/84349/files/bib-6cb000c9-e965-41e8-a2a5-006554b2092c.txt</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="540" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">http://www.opendefinition.org/licenses/cc-by</subfield> <subfield code="a">Creative Commons Attribution</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="024" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">10.1080/07373937.2012.701258</subfield> <subfield code="2">doi</subfield> </datafield> </record>
