{ "DOI": "10.11622/smedj.2018123", "abstract": "INTRODUCTION In patients undergoing haemodialysis, cardiovascular mortality and morbidity, characterised by accelerated atherosclerosis and increased inflammation, are elevated. Salusins are newly defined molecules in the atherosclerotic processes, and while salusin-alpha (Sal-alpha) acts as an antiatherogenic factor, salusin-beta (Sal-beta) has a proatherogenic role. Their roles are as yet undefined in patients undergoing haemodialysis.", "author": [ { "family": "Sipahi", "given": " Savas" }, { "family": "Genc", "given": " Ahmed Bilal" }, { "family": "Acikgoz", "given": " Seyyid Bilal" }, { "family": "Yildirim", "given": " Mehmet" }, { "family": "Aksoy", "given": " Yakup Ersel" }, { "family": "Vatan", "given": " Mehmet Bulent" }, { "family": "Dheir", "given": " Hamad" }, { "family": "Altindis", "given": " Mustafa" } ], "container_title": "SINGAPORE MEDICAL JOURNAL", "id": "67549", "issue": "4", "issued": { "date-parts": [ [ 2019, 1, 1 ] ] }, "page": "210-215", "title": "Relationship of salusin-alpha and salusin-beta levels with atherosclerosis in patients undergoing haemodialysis", "type": "article-journal", "volume": "60" }
