ASSAN Aluminum conducted a series of tests using a SpeedCaster (R) to produce AA5052, AA5754 and AA5182 strip. This paper compares the microstructure, mechanical properties, formability and corrosion resistance of these twin roll cast materials with samples of similar alloys produced by the DC casting route.
