It is especially necessary for submarine-ship, submarine-submarine and ship-submarine communications. Recent years have seen rapid advances in DSP (Digital signal processor) architecture technologies, which advances have made it possible for DSP's to be used for applications previously considered unsuitable such as underwater communication. Underwater acoustic communication applications had been performed in an analog environment several times before; however, in this work, it is performed digitally by using DSP. Alternative solutions for underwater communication are presented as well. The presented solution is a more reliable prototype design of underwater acoustic communication that was developed via the transmitter and receiver sides on two identical DSK (DSP Starter Kit) boards by using upper sideband - suppressed carrier (SSB - SC) and random carrier frequencies (8 kHz - 16 kHz).</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="542" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="l">open</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="773" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="n">doi</subfield> <subfield code="a">10.81043/aperta.92902</subfield> <subfield code="i">isVersionOf</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="540" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">http://www.opendefinition.org/licenses/cc-by</subfield> <subfield code="a">Creative Commons Attribution</subfield> </datafield> <controlfield tag="001">92903</controlfield> <datafield tag="980" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">publication</subfield> <subfield code="b">article</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="245" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">DSP implementation of underwater communication using SSB modulation with random carrier frequencies</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="650" ind1="1" ind2="7"> <subfield code="2">opendefinition.org</subfield> <subfield code="a">cc-by</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="260" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="c">2010-01-01</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="980" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">user-tubitak-adresli-yayinlar</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Kocaeli Univ, Dept Elect & Telecommun Engn, Kocaeli, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Dincer, Hasan</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Kocaeli Univ, Dept Elect & Telecommun Engn, Kocaeli, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Ozturk, Sitki</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">https://aperta.ulakbim.gov.trrecord/92903/files/bib-afaa0985-7c72-4162-8ada-a035cf4b0ada.txt</subfield> <subfield code="s">193</subfield> <subfield code="z">md5:6e87996fe8b4443a8d39ff71d9a39088</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="024" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">10.81043/aperta.92903</subfield> <subfield code="2">doi</subfield> </datafield> </record>
