<subfield code="a">This study aimed to use nano cellulose as an absorbent to create a new model for wastewater treatment in environmental pollution. The use of azo dye in the textile industry poses a serious problem as pollution in the environment. Although there are different methods for removal of dyes use of biosorbents such as starch, cellulose, chitosan, alginate have become more up to date with biotechnological developments. In recent years there has been concentrated especially on bacterial cellulose in dye removal. Bacterial cellulose has become more remarkable as a new biosorbent that has nanofibers structure, nontoxic, biocompatibility, biodegradability, high water holding capacity, and low-cost. In this study, bacterial cellulose was produced by new isolated Gluconacetobacter hansenii HE1. The effect in Aniline Blue dye removal in different concentrations (50, 100 and 200mg/L) of bacterial cellulose and Whatman paper no 389 as plant cellulose was researched and obtained data were compared. While Aniline Blue dye (200mg/L) was removed approximately 22% by Whatman paper no 389, it was removed 70% by bacterial cellulose in 60 min measured at 585nm. After 60 minutes the pH of Aniline Blue dye (200mg/L) was 8.6 and was decolorized.</subfield>
