{ "DOI": "10.1109/TEMC.2017.2698835", "abstract": "In this study, an X-band band-stop frequency selective surface (FSS) consisting of aligned finite length periodic conductive cylindrical fibers embedded in a dielectric host material is designed, manufactured, and electrically tested in the frequency range of 2 to 18 GHz. Furthermore, an equivalent circuit model is developed to estimate the electrical characterization of the band-stop FSS. Finally, the transmission results obtained from simulations are experimentally validated using a free-space setup. Moreover, a quasi-isotropic multilayer band-stop FSS is recommended to design a polarization-independent FSS.", "author": [ { "family": "Nisanci", "given": " Muhammet Hilmi" }, { "family": "Tesneli", "given": " Nigar Berna" }, { "family": "Tesneli", "given": " Ahmet Yahya" }, { "family": "Ustuner", "given": " Fatih" }, { "family": "Demirel", "given": " Ekrem" }, { "family": "de Paulis", "given": " Francesco" }, { "family": "Orlandi", "given": " Antonio" } ], "container_title": "IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY", "id": "90157", "issue": "6", "issued": { "date-parts": [ [ 2017, 1, 1 ] ] }, "page": "1835-1840", "title": "Experimental Validation of a 3D FSS Designed by Periodic Conductive Fibers Part-2: Band-Stop Filter Characteristic", "type": "article-journal", "volume": "59" }
