Cumyl dithiobenzoate and 2-cyanoprop-2-yl dithiobenzoate were employed as the RAFT agents. The effects of absorbed dose, monomer and RAFT agent concentrations and solvent choice on grafting yield were investigated. Characterization of the synthesized copolymers by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, thermal analysis and contact angle measurements revealed the grafting of poly(glycidyl methacrylate) (PGMA) from cellulose. Size-exclusion chromatography analysis indicated the difficulty of controlling the polymerization of GMA due to branching and/or crosslinking reactions that might occur in PGMA structure under gamma-radiation.</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="650" ind1="1" ind2="7"> <subfield code="2">opendefinition.org</subfield> <subfield code="a">cc-by</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Nucl & Energy Res Inst IPEN CNEN SP, BR-05508000 Sao Paulo, Brazil</subfield> <subfield code="a">Kodama, Yasko</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Hacettepe Univ, Dept Chem, TR-06800 Ankara, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Guven, Olgun</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="980" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="b">article</subfield> <subfield code="a">publication</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="542" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="l">open</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="100" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Hacettepe Univ, Dept Chem, TR-06800 Ankara, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Barsbay, Murat</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="260" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="c">2014-01-01</subfield> </datafield> <controlfield tag="005">20210316012732.0</controlfield> <datafield tag="909" ind1="C" ind2="O"> <subfield code="o">oai:zenodo.org:62497</subfield> <subfield code="p">user-tubitak-destekli-proje-yayinlari</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2=" "> <subfield code="z">md5:99edf41a85752c0afbe6a7a292cc1bf3</subfield> <subfield code="s">190</subfield> <subfield code="u">https://aperta.ulakbim.gov.trrecord/62497/files/bib-69a1115e-d996-4a6a-a949-79357c8e3530.txt</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="540" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">http://www.opendefinition.org/licenses/cc-by</subfield> <subfield code="a">Creative Commons Attribution</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="024" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">10.1007/s10570-014-0416-y</subfield> <subfield code="2">doi</subfield> </datafield> </record>
