The EDM performance measures used in the study are material removal rate (MRR), tool electrode wear rate (EWR), average workpiece surface roughness (R-a), machined workpiece surface hardness, abrasive wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and workpiece alloyed layer depth and composition. The EDM performance of Cu-Cr and Cu-Mo PM electrodes produced at three different mixing ratios (15, 25, and 35wt% Cr or Mo), compacting pressures (P-c = 600, 700, and 800MPa), and sintering temperatures (T-s = 800, 850, and 900 degrees C) are compared with those machined with electrolytic Cu and Cu PM electrodes when machining SAE 1040 steel workpiece. Analyses revealed that tool materials were deposited as a layer over the work surface yielding high surface hardness, strong abrasion, and corrosion resistance. Moreover, the mixing ratio, P-c, and T-s affect the MRR, EWR, and R-a values.</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="650" ind1="1" ind2="7"> <subfield code="2">opendefinition.org</subfield> <subfield code="a">cc-by</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Gazi Univ, Dept Mech Engn, Ankara, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Uslan, Ibrahim</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Gazi Univ, Dept Mech Engn, Ankara, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Usta, Yusuf</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="700" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Cankaya Univ, Dept Mechatron Engn, Ankara, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Cogun, Can</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="980" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="b">article</subfield> <subfield code="a">publication</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="542" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="l">open</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="100" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">Turkish Aerosp Ind Inc, Fethiye Mah,Havacilik Blvd 17, Ankara, Turkey</subfield> <subfield code="a">Gulcan, Orhan</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="260" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="c">2016-01-01</subfield> </datafield> <controlfield tag="005">20210315231829.0</controlfield> <datafield tag="909" ind1="C" ind2="O"> <subfield code="o">oai:zenodo.org:53053</subfield> <subfield code="p">user-tubitak-destekli-proje-yayinlari</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2=" "> <subfield code="z">md5:7bd99fcc03cb9079d172887bf3f40611</subfield> <subfield code="s">233</subfield> <subfield code="u">https://aperta.ulakbim.gov.trrecord/53053/files/bib-5817ba78-d773-45f9-abc4-bcd44fb0dea7.txt</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="540" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="u">http://www.opendefinition.org/licenses/cc-by</subfield> <subfield code="a">Creative Commons Attribution</subfield> </datafield> <datafield tag="024" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <subfield code="a">10.1080/10910344.2016.1191031</subfield> <subfield code="2">doi</subfield> </datafield> </record>
