    <subfield code="a">&lt;p&gt;This study analyzes long-term temperature and relative humidity data from four meteorological stations in the region (Arapgir, Darandere/Balaban, Doğanşehir and Malatya Center) to examine the climatic changes in Malatya province, located in the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. The main data source of the study is the monthly average temperature (&amp;deg;C) and relative humidity (%) values provided by the Turkish General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) covering a 35-year period between 1985 and 2019. In the determination of climatic trends, statistical significance was evaluated using the nonparametric Mann-Kendall test, and the direction and magnitude of the trends were calculated by Sen&amp;#39;s Slope method. According to the results of the analysis, temperature values at Arapgir station showed a statistically significant increasing trend with a confidence level above 90%. The same station&amp;#39;s relative humidity readings showed a notable decline, with a 94.1% confidence level. At the Darandere/Balaban and Doğanşehir stations, we observed some temperature and humidity changes, but these were not statistically significant because they were below the 90% confidence interval. The temperature data at Malatya Central station, on the other hand, displayed a notable upward trend with a 92.5% confidence level, whereas the relative humidity data showed a sharp decline with a remarkable 99.8% confidence level. In general, it was found that temperatures increased and relative humidity values decreased in Malatya province during the 35-year period. These findings show that climate change is gradually increasing its impact in the form of warming and drying in the region. These changes have the potential to have profound impacts on agricultural production patterns, sustainability of water resources, balance of natural ecosystems and rural living conditions. Especially in regions such as Malatya, where agricultural production has a significant share in the economy, the long-term impacts of drought and temperature increases due to climate change need to be carefully evaluated. This study provides a scientific database that will contribute to the development of adaptation strategies for policy makers and researchers by revealing the impacts of climate change at the local scale. In future studies, it is recommended to examine in detail the possible impacts of these trends on the hydrological cycle, agricultural productivity and biodiversity.&lt;/p&gt;</subfield>
