This study aimed to perform an across-cultural adaptation of the English version of the Personalized Psychological Flexibility Index (PPFI) into Turkish. It was conducted among 604 disaster search and rescue volunteers who participated in the 2023 Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes in Turkey. The exploratory factor analysis showed that the T-PPFI consisted of 3 factors, comprising 15 items. The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the 3-factor structure fits well. The convergent and divergent validity results performed to test the comparative validity of the scale with similar and different scales found a positive correlation between T-PPFI and The Comprehensive Assessment of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Process (CompACT) and a negative correlation with Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (AAQ II) and Depression Anxiety and Stress Scales (DASS-21). T-PPFI had high internal consistency (all alpha and omega values were found to be above 0.70) and test-retest reliability (r=0.962). The results of the measurement invariance tests showed that the T-PPFI scores were comparable between genders. Based on the hierarchical regression and higher-order EFA, the T-PPFI demonstrated greater discriminative validity than the AAQ-II and DASS-21. The results suggest that the 15-item T-PPFI is reliable and valid for measuring psychological flexibility in Turkish disaster search and rescue volunteers.
