The Perception of the Faculty of Communication: A Study on University Reputation

Reputation directly affects the success of educational institutions. This study, conducted to measure students' social perceptions of the Faculty of Communication at Erciyes University, has revealed a reassuring fact. The students overwhelmingly hold a positive attitude towards the faculty and the university, providing a solid foundation for the institution's reputation. Erciyes University Faculty of Communication has 3.080 students. The study was conducted with 432 participants in order to obtain the opinions and thoughts of the students. The research was conducted using a convenience sampling method based on voluntary participation, and data were collected through online surveys. Factors such as geographical proximity to parents and arts and sports cultural activities play a significant role in increasing student satisfaction. Another prominent factor that contributed positively to the increase in student satisfaction was the ability of faculty members to establish healthy communication with students and listen to their concerns. This study emphasizes the importance of strategies for managing and developing the corporate reputation of educational institutions and provides findings that will serve as a basis for future similar studies.
