CFD simulations are carried out with the CFD software Ansys Fluent with the three-dimensional (3D), steady, incompressible flow based on the Reynolds-Average Navier-Stokes equations for flow field calculations in the combined intake-head pond-upstream channel system. Also, the standard K-Epsilon (ske) model was chosen as a turbulence model. The numerical studies results showed that there was no homogeneous flow field distribution in upstream channel.
