    <description descriptionType="Abstract">Objective: Experimental and clinical studies indicate that cardiovascular system diseases have the highest mortality rate. One of the major factors underlying this high mortality rate is hypoxia. The inward rectifying potassium channel 6.2 (Kir6.2) plays a key role in the adaptation and metabolic regulation of cardiac tissue to hypoxia. In this study, the effect of chloroquine on Kir6.2 expression in heart tissue exposed to moderate chronic hypoxia was investigated.</description>
