    <description descriptionType="Abstract">The aim of this research is to determine the extent to which Turkish-Islamic scientists are included in the science textbooks used in secondary schools in Turkey and Azerbaijan, two countries with common cultural history. Within this framework, the textbooks prepared according to the current science course curriculum in Turkey and Azerbaijan have been examined by document analysis within the scope of qualitative research. According to the data obtained from the study, western scientists are given more space in textbooks both in Turkey and Azerbaijan, while Turkish-Islamic scientists and their scientific studies are less included. It has been presented as a suggestion that including Turkish-Islamic scientists from Turkey and Azerbaijan in the textbooks in both countries will motivate students towards science.</description>
