  "description": "New phthalocyanines (M = Cu, Zn, Ni, Co or 2H) substituted with four 17-membered trioxadiaza macrocycles have been prepared. Detosylation of aza groups with concentrated sulfuric acid simultaneously leads to sulfonated groups on the aromatic rings of the macrocyclic substituents. While the N-tosylated derivatives are soluble in organic solvents, the detosylated ones are extremely soluble in water. The electrical conductivities of the phthalocyanines measured as gold sandwiches are about 10(-12) S m-1 in vacuo and show some increase in the presence of dry air.",
