Image Measurement Verification Studies of Different Objects In Tissue-Mimicking Fantom

  • 1. TUBITAK Ulusal Metrol Enstitusu UME, Med Metrol Lab, Kocaeli, Turkey

Description

TUBITAK UME Medical Metrology Laboratory has been doing researches to develop measurement infrastructure of high level medical systems at nationwide except for radiology studies. In this context, the laboratory has been developing national phantoms for testing and quality control of ultrasonic imaging systems and has been operating to establish measurement studies and reference standards over these phantoms. In this study, image processing and measurement verification studies were carried out to detect the positions of objects in different sizes within a phantom that mimics the acoustic properties of the liver tissue using different types of probes of the "Sonix Touch Q +" ultrasonic device developed for research purpose.
