CRYPTANALYSIS OF A CHAOS-BASED ENCRYPTION SCHEME

In this article, cryptanalysis of a chaos-based encryption scheme is introduced. An attack system was proposed to explore the security weaknesses of the chaotic encryption scheme. Converging of the attack system to the target chaotic encryption scheme has been proven using master-slave synchronization. Future evaluation of the encryption scheme is derived from a scalar time series in which the only information available is the structure of the encryption scheme and a scalar time series observed from the chaotic system. Simulation and numerical results confirming the feasibility of the cryptanalysis method are given.
