Description

In this paper, a phase-locked loop structure is designed for subcarrier synchronization in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. A phase-locked loop (PLL) structure is designed according to optimum phase noise and acquisition time specifications. Digital video broadcasting-terrestrial (DVB-T 2k) parameters are taken as reference. The trade-off between the acquisition time and phase noise is analyzed. It is aimed to find the optimum acquisition time for minimum phase noise and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
