Regional ionosphere mapping by using neural networks

Regional ionosphere mapping is necessary to analyze the unknown distribution structure of ionosphere. In this paper, mapping ionosphere over a chosen region is realized by using multilayer perception and radial basis networks. Performances of two networks on artificial surfaces are compared and these neural networks are applied on real TEC values to obtain regional ionosphere mapping.
