Buried object detection by using GPR

In this work the detection process of buried objects is presented utilizing Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Background removing, filtering and correlation within a window arc used to reveal the reflected target energy. When a considerably increasing in the reflected energy is observed, a detection warning signal is created depends on the V parameter explained in the algorithm. The warning signal is activated over the buried objects, up to the energy level falls down to its initially triggered level. So, buried object position is determined. In this work, Pulsed GPR system with 1 Ghz bandwidth is used.
