Synthesis and complexation of a new soluble multidentate diaminoglyoxime and its Ni(II) and Pd(II) complexes
Description
8,9-Bis(hydroxyimino)-7,10-diazatetracosane (H2L) has been prepared from dihexylamine and cyanogen-di-N-oxide. Transition metal complexes of H2L with Ni(II) and Pd(II) have been synthesized with a metal-ligand ratio of 1:2. All complexes are very soluble in common organic solvents. The structures of the ligand and its complexes were investigated by elemental analyses, H-1 and C-13 NMR, IR, MS and UV/Vis spectral data.
