Functional aspects of alpha oscillations in the EEG

Description

Experimental evidence suggests a functional significance of EEG alpha rhythms. Event-related, evoked, and induced alpha rhythms may have functional correlates in primary sensory processing and preparatory processes. These results are in accordance with the view that spontaneous and induced EEG alpha rhythms have quasi-deterministic properties. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
