DIRECTION FINDING WITH MUSIC ALGIRITHM FOR ES SYSTEMS UNDER INTERFERENCE

In electronic support(ES) and electronic intelligence(ELINT) systems, amplitude and phase comparison and hybrid versions of both methods are used for monopulse passive direction finding. Hovewer, for interference and multi source case superresolution techniques are widely used such as multiple signal classification (MUSIC). In this paper, the passive direction finding performance of MUSIC algorithm is analyzed with respect to the number of elements in the receiving array, movement of the source and existence of the interference. Moreover, interference sources whose directions are found with MUSIC are suppressed by applying null steering algorithms.
