Description
This paper presents a wideband circularly polarized antenna for GNSS applications. The antenna consists of four triangular patches excited with 90 degrees phase differences in between to generate right-hand circular polarization. The antenna operating frequency cover the whole GNSS band 1.164-1.610 GHz. The antenna is also modified to incorporate a cavity for LNA placement. The axial ratio and gain measurements indicate a good agreement with the simulations. The antenna presents a compact yet effective GNSS antenna solution for satellite platforms.
