Optimization of the PEMFC operating parameters for cathode in the presence of PtCo/CVD graphene using factorial design

  • 1. TUBITAK Marmara Res Ctr, Energy Inst, POB 21, TR-41470 Kocaeli, Turkey

Description

The statistical analysis of a PEMFC is performed to find the effect of each operational parameter on the output response. CVD graphene-supported PtCo and Vulcan-supported Pt are used for cathode and anode, respectively. The cell temperature, back pressure, and relative humidity are found very critical factors to improve the fuel cell performance. The maximum current density of 1779.5 mAcm(-2) and power density of 785.38 mWcm(-2) are obtained under the optimized conditions for CVD graphene-supported PtCo cathode catalyst.
