Description
This paper presents a study, which is conducted to analyze the performance of electrostatic discharge (ESD) garments. The reasons of ESD, the possible scenarios that may occur in manufacturing hall and the requirements of the ESD garments are mentioned. A knitted structure consists of a double layer hybrid yarn, which consists of a dielectric layer at the outer layer and a conductor at the inner layer, is presented. The performance of the proposed structure is evaluated in terms of various criteria such as the cost, efficiency and weight.
