Description
In the line with developing technologies, the demand for wireless communication is increased. In this study, it is purposed to realize a high data rate wireless communication system with different modulation techniques binary phase shift keying (BPSK) and on-off keying (OOK) modulations operating at X-band. Data transmission experiment has been conducted with a carrier frequency between 9 GHz and 12 GHz with different data rates up to 3.7 Gbit/s. Bandwidth efficient high data rate wireless communication is observed at X-band, compared to carrier frequency quite considerable data rate is achieved. The experiment is accomplished for the distance which is gradually increased from 5 cm to 160 cm between two antennas. Bit error rate measurements for OOK and BPSK modulations are provided, and also eye-diagram of BPSK modulation is demonstrated.
