Description
In this study, the design and development of Vineyard Robot were conducted. The robot was designed using parametric solid state modelling. Each part for the robot was drawn using Autodesk Inventor. After creating all the parts, robot was built up by assembling all parts. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was carried out to check the strength of the design. In FEA analyses, a model was created. All assembly was meshed. Forces were applied in three dimensions (3D) with different amounts of forces. Then, the values of stress, strain, deflection and displacements of whole body in 3D were found. The results showed that the material selected (aluminium 6061) was suitable for this application. The stress analysis results indicated that the yield stress of the selected material is far lower than the computed maximum stresses in 3D. The safety factor of the design was found as 12 which was considerably safe.
