Radar Cross Section Reduction of a Plate with Textile-Based Single Negative Metamaterial
Description
In this paper a textile based-metasurface is designed to have epsilon-negative frequency band in order to reduce the radar cross section of a PEC-plate. Parameter retrieval analysis is performed by using the magnitude and phase values, which are obtained via CST Microwave Studio. Results regarding the simulations and the retrieval analyses of the textile based metasurface are presented. Approximately 377 Omega impedance has been achieved which is matched with the air intrinsic impedance and the total RCS reduced from 430mm(2) to 304mm(2) which corresponds to 29% reduction.
