Description
In this paper, we investigate performance of a multiple-input multiple-output scheme with spatial modulation (SM) and transmit antenna selection (TAS) in Nakagami-m fading channels. In this scheme, transmit antennas which maximize capacity of the system are selected for transmission and then SM is applied by using the selected transmit antennas. The closed-form outage probability of the SM system with TAS is derived in Nakagami-m channels for arbitrary values of TU. The asymptotic diversity analysis is also performed to demonstrate the achieved diversity order of the system. It is shown that outage performance of the system improves when fading parameter in and/or number of transmit antennas increase. Our analytical results are validated by Monte Carlo simulations.
