Description
To support EMC test and measurements a single band chiral metamaterial absorber is suggested in this study for EMC absorber solutions. We analyze a novel chiral metamaterial absorber composed of crescent shaped split-ring resonators at the X-band (8.2 - 12.4 GHz). To supplement proposed absorber, different loss tangent (delta) values are also considered. Reflection and absorption spectra illustrated high-performance nearly unity absorption levels (maximum absorption) around resonance region. The proposed absorber can find applications in which ultra-thin absorbers are needed and can be a good candidate for promising applications since it is constructed ultra-thin 1.2 mm (0.04 lambda). All simulations are performed by CST Microwave Studio environment using frequency domain solver. Besides, by changing the geometrical parameters of proposed configuration, it can be scaled up to infrared bands.
