RE(Y, Er, Gd, La, Nd, Sm, Dy)-doped SrBPO5 colorful phosphors: Definition of structural unit cell parameters and optical properties
Description
A scientific study on the effect of different ions on strontium borophosphates have been investigated via structural, luminescent and optical properties of using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Rietveld analysis, vacuum ultraviolet photoluminescence (VUV-PL), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. The rare earth doped SrBPO5 compounds were successfully synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction. When we compare the XRD data of host material SrBPO5 to rare earth doped strontium borophosphates, no-impurity related to dopant metal have been observed. The Rietveld refinement results calculated via XRD data reveal that rare earth doped strontium borophosphates have hexagonal structure. The vibrations in infrared spectrum have supported the formation of borophosphate groups. The powders exhibit as blue, red and yellow phosphors with varying intensities. The morphologic images demonstrate that the particle sizes are under micron scale. (C) 2017 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.
