Hardware Design of Industrial Tablet for Fare Collection Based on ARM Embedded System

This study is about the hardware design of industrial tablet based on ARM microcontroller embedded system. The developed industrial tablet serves as not only a tablet for the developers but also industrial tablet for the real world applications. This industrial tablet provides external communication ports for eligible industrial needs such as serial, universal serial bus, transmission control protocol/internet protocol, CAN-bus and other ports. It was designed and implemented regarding to outdoor operating conditions. Moreover, to provide fare collection in public transport facilities, this Android system based industrial tablet can be used with its own hardware and software architecture.
