Study of quadrupole correlations in the neutron-deficient Sn and Cd region via lifetime measurements
Creators
Description
During the AGATA campaign at GANIL (France), the neutron-deficient Sn region was populated via a multi-nucleon transfer reaction in order to directly measure the lifetime of the first excited states with a plunger device to study the evolution of the shell closure in the vicinity of Sn-100. The AGATA gamma-ray array was used together with the VAMOS++ spectrometer to study the nuclei of interest. In this contribution the first results confirming the validity of the method for Cd-106 and the setup will be presented.
