  • 2. ALARA Agr, Gursu Bursa, Turkey

Description

Determination of gas exchange capacity is important especially for the plants grown in arid and semi-arid conditions. Fig tree which is generally grown under marginal conditions is well adapted to drought and salinity in Turkey as in many countries. Furthermore, measuring gas exchange capacity of breba fig producing cultivars could provide information related to their adaptation to a certain agroecology or bring solutions to improve their lower yield levels. For this reason, a study was carried out to determine gas exchange capacity of some breba fruit producing parthenocarpic rig cultivars originating from Turkey, Israel and France.
