360 degrees Integration Gateway Approach Applied in a Multi-Layer Cloud Management Platform for Internet TV Applications

With migration of TV and video delivery functions to cloud based platforms, number of Internet TV content providers is expected to grow significantly in the near future. It is clear that cloud based platforms are not able to address all business requirements of Internet TV applications from an end-to-end perspective. Therefore, hybrid platforms where most video delivery functions are hosted in the cloud and management functions are hosted locally are to become more popular. Although, these hybrid platforms offer solutions to many of the business problems, it introduces yet another important issue: integration and interoperability. In this study, a new concept, namely "360 degrees Integration Gateway" is being proposed which is applied in a multi-layer cloud management platform that is interoperable with multiple cloud based Internet TV applications.
