Description

Herein, an organic semiconductor material, BATDS-11, featuring a dibenzosuberenone-based D-A architecture, was designed and synthesized using click chemistry. The obtained product was characterized using various spectroscopic techniques. Building on this synthesis, a BATDS-11@n-Si organic-inorganic broadband photodetector with outstanding photodetection performance was fabricated. Two devices were fabricated with 1.56 and 3.40 mu m thicknesses BATDS-11 on Si substrate. The devices with thin and thick films were labeled as D1 and D2, respectively. Since the electro-optical performance of the D1 device was superior to that of the D2, D1 was analyzed in detail. The D1 device exhibited excellent photoresponse and remained stable in repeated measurements after 40 days. The responsivity of the device reached a value of 15.24 A/W (for V = 2.0 V), while its specific detectivity exceeded 1014 Jones (for zero bias) at 590 nm. The highest value of external quantum efficiency was 4244 (at V = -2.0 V), at 365 nm, which is attributed to the highest photoconductivity gain at this wavelength.
