Faunistic contributions and zoogeographical and ecological evaluations on the subtribes Erichsoniina, Philonthiina and Staphylinina (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Staphylininae, Staphylinini) of the Aegean Region, Turkiye

Faunistic contributions to the fauna of the subtribes Erichsoniina, Philonthiina and Staphylinina (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Staphylininae: Staphylinini) of T & uuml;rkiye were made along with additional records. Study material was collected from the Aegean Region between 2019-2022, and 24 species belonging to 14 genera were recorded, from which five were new records for the region. Data regarding some ecological properties as collecting months, altitude, methods-habitats, and zoogeographical distribution are presented. Results were evaluated and the zoogeographical statuses of species are discussed. Presence of the species were evaluated with respect to previous records from the region. Species composition reflected the location of the country, which acts as a bridge across three continents, Europe, Asia and Africa. With respect to evaluations, loss of habitats due to climate change affects species composition and is worthy of future attention.
