  • 1. Suleyman Demirel Univ, Islam Tarih & Sanatlari Bolumu, Ilahiyat Fak, Isparta, Turkiye

Description

For a sustainable world, we have to develop environmentally friendly approaches in the art, as in every field. In a period when there was no oil or chemical production, people were using non-polluting materials that did not harm the environment. All materials used in classical marbling art were more environmentally friendly and healthier. Although it is stated in various publications that dyes obtained from colored soils were used in the art of marbling, no study has been conducted on its applicability today. In this study, which aims to popularize the use of more environmentally friendly materials in the art of marbling, yellow, red, grey, brown and white dyes were obtained from the colored soils obtained around the province of Isparta. Whilethese paints workverywell together, there has been no problem in using them togetherwith other paints on the market. Sincetheyare matte in color, they can be used as avery beautiful ground marbling, especially for flowerworks. However, it has also been observed that some colored soils that have undergone the necessary processes cannot be used in the art of marbling.
