Açıklama

Spray cooling is a prominent method owing to its high cooling capacity and efficiency in cooling high-heat-flux systems. Electrospray cooling, on the other hand, offers more efficient cooling by eliminating the high-power requirements of spray cooling and the decrease in efficiency owing to the bounce of droplets. In this study, the cooling performance was determined by using a nozzle optimized with the response surface method, BoxBehnken design, and optimized lattice-finned heat sink in previous studies. Experimental studies analyzed the effects of parameters such as the electric Bond number, flow rate, and constant surface temperature and showed that the lattice-finned heat sink provided high heat transfer performance at low temperatures and electric Bond number. As a result of the study, a maximum 20 % enhancement in the cooling performance was achieved with the lattice heat sink compared to the plate heat sink, and a maximum enhancement of 83 % was achieved in the cone-jet mode compared to the dripping mode. In addition, it was also found that while the latis-finned structure offers higher heat transfer performance, it requires more energy, whereas the flat-plate heat sink has a more balanced energy consumption; therefore, the selection of the appropriate structure should be made according to the application.
