Açıklama
Aim of study: Astragalus is one of the largest genus of the Fabaceae family. Morphological, molecular and genetic studies as well as palynological studies are being used to solve the taxonomic problems of this genus, which has a wide distribution worldwide. Material and method: In this study, the pollen morphology of 14 species belonging to the Hymenostegis and Hymenocoleus sections distributed in T & uuml;rkiye was examined by light and electron microscopy. Main results: In all taxa examined, pollen grains were detected as monad, radially symmetrical and apolar type. While the aperture types were determined as tricolporate in all species examined, only 5% trisyncolpate and 95% tricolporate aperture types were found in A. gueruenensis and A. ciloensis. Research highlights: Ornamentation types vary between the polar to equatorial region. Eight different ornamentation types have been identified, consisting of different combinations of psilate, perforate, microreticulate and reticulate ornamentation elements. Ornamentation in the equatorial and polar areas, P/E ratio and shape, Aperture type and pore structure are the most valuable variables to distinguish between Hymenostegis and Hymenocoleus section types.
