Description

Lomax fading channels have recently emerged as an intriguing and increasingly popular channel model. This fading model attracts attention from researchers due to its mathematical modeling advantages and computational convenience. Therefore, this study presents a theoretical analysis of Lomax fading channels using cross quadrature amplitude modulation (XQAM). The proposed theoretical analysis includes the derivation of an error expression based on the probability density function (PDF). To facilitate mathematical tractability, the improved Chernoff approximation has been employed in deriving the expression which is obtained by PDF approach. The accuracy of the obtained analytical XQAM error expression is validated through a comparative evaluation with exact simulation results, and the consistency between simulation and analytical results is observed in the outcome graphs. Various numerical results are provided by considering different parameter variations of the analyzed system, enabling the examination of the system under different scenarios.
