Description

The use of heat exchangers, which are the leading heat energy transfer systems, is increasing day by day in industry. In this study, a shell tube heat exchanger model has been developed and numerical analysis has been carried out. There is 19 Tube bundles in the shell tube heat exchanger developed. It has been then used as a refrigerant in pure water as well as refrigerant in Al2O3 and SO2 based nanofluids at concentrations of 3%, 5% and 7. In addition to this, the analysis for the Re = 3300, Re = 6600 and Re = 13,000 was completed. Also, biogas is also preferred as a hot fluid. The numerical analysis has been carried out with Ansys Fluent software, and the computational fluid dynamics approach (CFD) has been used. In the results obtained in this context, cooling is higher in areas close to the tube bundle. In addition, the concentration of nanofluid directly increases heat transfer. Finally, with the increase in the number of Reynolds, has been seen in the analysis results, where the heat transfer rate increased.
