Description
This study investigates the structural and magnetic properties of La0.8Ba0.2CrO3 and La0.8Ba0.2(Cr0.5Mn0.5)O3 bulk perovskite samples synthesized via the sol-gel method. Magnetization measurements reveal that La0.8Ba0.2CrO3 exhibits canted antiferromagnetic behavior, driven by antisymmetric Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions between Cr3+ ions, with a N & eacute;el temperature (TN) of 268 K. In contrast, La0.8Ba0.2(Cr0.5Mn0.5)O3 demonstrates ferromagnetic ordering, characterized by a Curie temperature (Tc) of 180 K and a saturation magnetization (Ms) of 28 Am2/kg at 5 K. These results highlight the crucial role of Cr and Mn substitution in tailoring the magnetic properties of perovskite materials.
