Coverage Analysis of Terahertz Networks with Relay Clustering
- 1. Istanbul Tech Univ, Dept Elect & Commun Engn, Istanbul, Turkiye
Description
The terahertz (THz) band promises high capacity support for future networks. This paper investigates the performance of a THz network considering the channel impairments such as path loss, multipath and misalignment fading, utilizing stochastic geometry. To that end, first a method to select the best decode-and-forward (DF) relay within the communication range of source node in the dense THz network is employed. The theoretical results are verified using Monte Carlo simulation experiments. Then, a relay clustering approach that integrates the best relay selection with dynamic clustering is proposed. Monte Carlo simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach for improving the coverage performance.
