Açıklama

Uncertainties encountered in engineering structures are mathematical models created in the design phase and variables that depend on mathematical models. Uncertainties encountered in engineering designs are mostly solved by statistical methods and probability theories. The reliability analysis is used to determine the uncertainties resulting in risks. It must also be kept in mind that the incomplete model formed for engineering problems like shore groins in which modelling is difficult is a major reason for uncertainty. Rock fill shore groins are highly cost structures. These type of structures have high damage probability and have higher amount of uncertainties due to loading and strength. So the designs of shore groins based on reliability are of great importance. To provide an example for this purpose Istanbul-Riva, Pot, Kilyos, Agva (Goksu), Sile-Agva (Sungurlu), Sile Uzundere (Sahilkoy) and Kinikli of Shore Groins Design Report are presented in the thesis.
