Description
Resolvers have been utilized as feedback elements in the control of electric motors for many years. Their exceptional reliability sets them apart from other electronic feedback elements, particularly in challenging environments where shock resistance and high vibration tolerance are imperative. Additionally, their capacity to operate effectively at elevated temperatures renders them highly favorable for demanding and rugged applications. Resolvers employ both concentrated and distributed slot windings. Despite this, a comprehensive comparison between these two resolver types, encompassing various attributes including position errors, remains absent. This study aims to design and compare a conventional wound-rotor resolver utilizing both winding configurations, with a specific focus on evaluating position errors.
