CA-CFAR Based Target Detection in FMCW Radars
Description
In this study, two different FMCW radar waveforms as sawtooth and triangular are addressed. Firstly, these waveform signals are defined then the results of first Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) as range-amplitude, and second FFT of range-velocity matrix plots are obtained. In these plots two targets which are created using simulation environment are observed. In the detection part for sawtooth signal, using cell averaging constant false alarm rate (CA-CFAR) method detection probability vs signal to noise ratio (SNR) plots are obtained. In addition, the effect of increasing chirp time and decreasing the bandwidth are examined.
