2-DOF Robust <i>H</i><sub>∞</sub> Controller Synthesis for Fin Actuation System
Description
The design and implementation of a robust 2-DOF H-infinity controller are investigated in this study. Guided ammunitions are basically bombs that work under a guidance algorithm and destroy the target with high precision. The guidance of the ammunition to the target is successfully realized by the Fin Actuation System (FAS). Because of that, the selection of control methods used in the FAS system is critical. Inadequate classical controllers used in FAS can cause it to not meet performance and stability criteria. First of all, in this study, FAS's linear model is derived using system identification methods. After describing the FAS model, a robust 2-DOF controller is designed and applied in real time for the guided ammunition's FAS.
