Faunistic study of the aquatic beetles (Coleoptera: Helophoridae) in the Bayburt, Giresun, Gumushane, Ordu, and Trabzon provinces of Turkey

In this study, we established the presence of 25 aquatic beetle (Coleoptera: Helophoridae) species belonging to 5 subgenera from the Bayburt, Giresun, Gumushane, Ordu, and Trabzon provinces in the Black Sea region of Turkey. Specimens were collected between May 2007 and October 2007. Ten species are here recorded for the first time from the Black Sea region and 6 species are recorded for the first time in the research area. In addition, the habitats of these species found in the research area were given.
